The Chinese Cure-All
The pomegranate is grown practically in every Chinese household as it is believed to ward off the evil eye. Growing a tree in your garden is like having a pharmacy at your doorstep.

The rind has great medicinal properties. It is unfortunate that people who relish its pulp normally throw away this precious part of the fruit.

Besides the rind, other parts of this plant - Flowers, stem-bark and fruit also have medicinal value.

Fresh fruit juice increases and improves the blood content. It is powerful in overcoming pitta-aggravation. By adding small amounts of powdered cinnamon and cloves, the stomachic properties of the juice are greatly enhanced.

Ayurvedics well as Unani systems value this precious plant.
